Barra came from a town in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, which is called Barra da Tijuca. Master Carlos Gracie Jr. first opened his school in 1986 and name his school "Gracie of Barra", later on he shorten the name to Gracie Barra. Now there are over 300 Gracie Barra Schools world wide.
